december_05_003.jpgBaby girls first Easter has officially come and gone! I'm amazed that we have now past all the major family traditions with her. I know it will change as she gets bigger but still, hard to believe we've gone through them all!

Just wanted to post that I had uploaded pictures from our big day. She's just getting so big.

Hope to see more pics of the day from all of you. Please email me if you need to know how to post them!

OH --- here's the link to the pictures

Now THATS the way I (wish) I remembered it!

thecatch.gifOk, this is a quicky. I just KNEW though that you guys would appreciate this.

Recently I was watching TV and a certain TV commercial caught my eye. It was for Gatorade and talked about how a little bit can make a big difference. It then went on to show major events in pro sports, Michael Jordan, Giambi, and, yes, the catch. Here's the twist, these events didn't turn out how we all remembered them. I'm posting the link here and it is a big fine I know but if you have the time and are not on a dial up connection, PLEASE do yourself a favor and watch this. Pay SPECIAL attention to the THIRD sports cllip.

All I can say is this brought YEARS of healing to this Cowboys fan.

Is it a pig, a cow, a sheep?

208671.jpgYes, somewhere there are pigs flying, along with cows and sheep. And somewhere Tom Landry is turing is his grave as well.

T.O. is a Cowboy.

Boy I was dreading this day. When I first heard the rumors, I was beyond surprised that it might be true. Jerry couldn't think this was a good idea could he?  I mean, he KNOWS what happened at San Fran and at Philly, right?

Guess not.

Update from Brian
Written by Brian Milner
Thursday, 02 March 2006

Hey there folks! Just hadn't posted for a while and wanted to give a brief update.

It's snowing yet again here. It was just a few weeks ago that we got 27 (yes, 27!) inches of snow.  What does 27 inches of snow look like? Take a look here:

eight_months_053.jpg  Yup, that snow piled on top of our bird feeder is almost as big as our little one not to mention the knee deep snow I'm standing in. Luckily today we're only getting 4 inches or so.

The other news to update is that we are having some work done on our home. We were finally able to get in touch with the contractor that installed the doors and windows when we moved in. He came in that night and the next day his crew was busy at work in our home. It's a little disruptive but worth it.

They are working on three different areas of the house. The first is the most major and that is Maddie's room. For Mom, Dad, and Daniel, you'll remember that Maddie's room really looked like and office. There was ugly wood paneling on all the walls and a fake, lowered ceiling that had a florecent light as the main light in the room. Well, that's all changing. the wood paneling is gone and is replaced with a normal, paintable wall. The ceiling has been raised back to the original height which makes the room FEEL much bigger. We're going to be painting the room, what else, pink.

The other two areas are smaller. We're replacing the framing of our bathroom window. Previously, it was framed with wood and that wood had started to rot pretty badly. After they are done it will be a clean tile seal all the way to the window. The last place they are working is the staircase leading to the basement. That had been cracked and was very narrow. That gave us a little more room in it and are replacing all the walls. It should look much better as the previous walls were cracked and falling down all over the place.

We were very plesently surprised that the price for all this work was much less than we thought. Let's put it this way, our tax refund is covering it!

All for now. I'll send pics when the work is done. Hope you are all well and drop some news of your own here!

Love - Brian

Thanks to Mike and tips
Written by Brian Milner

First off, thanks to Mike for the update below! It's great to hear what's going on in your lives and this is just the type of post I was hoping for.

Second, just wanted to make sure everyone knew about comments. If you look under an article (like Mikes for example) you will see the word COMMENTS and an number next to it. This is where you can post a reply to a article one of us has written. Post a followup question or just a thanks for posting. It's a great way to enter into a "discussion."

Lastly, I just want to make sure everyone is clear on the posting process. Once you log in you will see a link at the right to submit an article and to submit links. When you do this, I get an email right away that tells me you've submitted an article. I then go in and "approve" it and put it on the front page. Please don't think this is some kind of power trip for me. I would rather have the articles go straight to the front page but I can't figure out an easy way to do that with this. Do for now at least, please just understand that I will put your articles up as SOON as I see them submitted and I appologize for the wait.

Thanks again to Mike. Now that he's done it, what are the rest of you waiting for? Tell us what's going on in your lives. Tell us about a book you just read, a song you really like, or a movie you just watched. Doesn't have to be earth shattering (have you SEEN some of MY posts???). Just chat with us some.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone and reading your comments!
